Meet the Staff of First Baptist Church of Kennett Square!

Monica Fragale – Administrative Assistant

Monica Fragale joined the FBC family in March 2015 as its part-time administrative assistant. A lifelong Episcopalian married to a lifelong Catholic, Monica soon found her workplace home — and her spiritual home — at First Baptist.

God had his hand in bringing her here, as it was an online posting that first caught her attention for the job. Its location (very close to her home), the job description (a chance to use her talents for something different), and the people (so very welcoming) made the decision an easy one.

Monica spent the first half of her career working as a reporter and editor with various newspapers, and the next half working for non-profit organizations. This job offered the opportunity to use all her past experience in a way that would help other people, and it has been a joy assisting the church and its members in their mission.

Monica is married to Barry, a lifelong Kennett Square resident, and they have two daughters, Mia and Emilie.

Emilie’s Girl Scout troop started meeting at FBC in the fall of 2016.

Kelly – Bookkeeper

Hello, my name is Kelly. Many of you have come to know me through the sports teams participated in by First Baptist as my boyfriend Mark plays for both the basketball and softball teams. I am a native of the area and have worked here in Kennett Square for the past 17 years. I am a bookkeeper during the day and enjoy my job Here at First Baptist just as much. I love to read and learn about anything and everything. I believe in being a positive, giving and helping person, everyday, all day, to the best of my abilities.

Michelle Seidel – Daycare Director

Michelle began as the director of J.A.M. Christian Daycare on Sept. 30, 2019. Over 18 years, she has worked at two Christian daycare programs, including at The Mustard Seed Early Learning Center in Martinsburg, WV, a program that was similar in size and mission to J.A.M.

She has an associate’s degree in early childhood education in addition to many years of experience.

Michelle was originally from Delaware and had moved with her family to West Virginia, where they lived for 14 years. She relocated to Avondale in 2019 with her husband and daughter. She also has a son in college.

“I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know all the wonderful families and staff at J.A.M.,” Michelle said. “We have such a dedicated family of people. I look forward to reopening and seeing everyone again. I wish to continue to provide a loving, enriched, Christian-based program for the children and families of J.A.M., where we can develop the whole child. I look forward to being a part of First Baptist Church and the J.A.M. family.”

Can we help you find something?
