As we move into the Lenten season, we will be offering a special opportunity for anyone who would like to participate.

Pastor Dan has talked about how we move through seasons of orientation, disorientation, and then reorientation  in recent messages. This movement is normal and to be expected as we travel our spiritual journey.

Most recently, Pastor Dan has talked about discernment. The idea that we can know the invitation of the Spirit of God for our lives.

During Lent, our teaching team and Pastor Avery from Greater Works Ministries in Kennett Square will help us explore the Kingdom of God. Jesus often spoke about the Kingdom of God. He longs for us to be a part of helping to usher in a new way of experiencing life and a relationship with God.

We are inviting everyone to join us in making this Lenten season a time of discernment.

We encourage you to take these three questions to God in prayer.

  • What passage of scripture has spoken to you the deepest? Why? How did the Spirit use the passage of scripture to speak into your life?
  • How do you sense the Spirit of God inviting YOU to help grow the Kingdom of God? – personal focus
  • How do you sense the Spirit of God inviting First Baptist Church to help grow the Kingdom of God? – corporate/community focus

Every Thursday evening during Lent, Pastor Dan will be hosting a ZOOM group to help us think about these questions. People will be invited to share as much, or as little, as they would like.
